Low back pain

Approximately 85% of the general population suffers from low back pain at some stage in life. There are many reasons for that: A diagnosed pathology such herniated disc, limitation or degeneration of the vertebras joint surface (the facet joint), degeneration of the disc etc.

The pain might arise from a traumatic injury, normal degenerative changes associated with age or a chronic development of an existing pathology. Nonetheless, pain in the low back might arise also from in soft tissues such as muscles, fascia and other connective tissues. Often these conditions are associated, influenced by or related to factors such as inappropriate foot wear, posture, and weakness of muscles that support the movement stability of the low back- the pelvic floor muscles, core muscles etc. All these require a specific analysis and evaluation of the movement components of each patient according to his desired function, from contact sport to general activities of daily life.
